Recording Lectures & Generating AI Transcripts

How to record live lectures, transcribe audio, and synthesize structured study notes.


Orbit allows you to capture in-person or online lectures directly inside your browser and convert spoken audio into formatted lecture notes with timecoded chapters.


How to Record Audio 1. Navigate to **Lectures** or open any **Note**. 2. Click the **Record Lecture** microphone button. 3. Grant browser microphone permissions. 4. Orbit records your audio in high quality with live waveform visualization and pause/resume capability.


Generating AI Summaries & Checkpoints - Once the recording is saved, click **Generate AI Summary**. - Orbit automatically divides your lecture into **YouTube-style chapters** with key takeaways, definitions, and formulas. - You can also click **Generate Checkpoint Quiz** to test your comprehension immediately after the lecture ends!
